Rapids - the purpose of a dynamic management strategy

Rapids are smoothly flowing parts of a river before a cascade suddenly follows. According to dictionaries rapids are “sections of a river where the river bed has a relatively steep slope. Its intensity ranges from a scale of 1-8, with 1 being the most navigable and 8 being the least gradient, causing an increase in water velocity and turbulence”. Class 8 rapids are threatening life with little or no chance for rescue. Class 1 rapids on the other hand are easy to navigate and require little maneuvering. Translated to business environment the turbulence today is closer to 8 than 1, threatening the survival for any organization without a dynamic management strategy. Rapids can also be used as an abbreviation to describe the purpose of designing and creating such dynamic management strategy. The purpose is to achieve Resilient, Agile, Performing, Innovative, Dynamic and Sustainable organizations.
